NEW Worcestershire Rapids signing Michael Bracewell could miss the start of the T20 Vitality Blast campaign after being signed up for the 2023 IPL by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Bracewell, who was signed by the Rapids in December, has been signed by Banglore to replace England all-rounder Will Jacks in the squad. Jacks has been sidelined by injury sustained during England's recent tour of Bangladesh.
The 2023 IPL competition runs from the end of March until the end of May, should Banglore make the play-offs, which could collide with the start of the Blast campaign.
Rapids begin their T20 season on May 24, whilst Banglore end the regular IPL season on May 21. However, if they were to finish in the top four, they would take part in the post-season playoffs.
That could extend the season past the start of the Blast and Bracewell may well miss the first couple of matches.
