WORCESTER RFC rounded off their home fixtures for the 2022/23 season with a 28-15 win over an in-form Crewe & Nantwich.
Having won four of their previous six, Worcester came into the clash in good form themselves and maintained that momentum heading into the final game of the season next week at Hereford.
Jonny Arr's men will finish the 2022/23 Regional 2 West Midlands campaign in either sixth or seventh place in the table, dependent on how the final round of games plays out. Rivals Malvern are currently on point ahead of them so bragging rights are still on the table.
Over on the second team pitch, the Worcester 2s saw their hopes of winning the title ended by league leaders and now champions Hereford 2s.
Worcester had to win to stand a chance of lifting the trophy but Hereford edged a thrilling contest 29-24 to claim the title. But despite their disappointment, Worcester will still finish second and that means they will be promoted to Counties 3 Midlands West (South) for next season.
They still have one more game to finish the 2022/23 campaign on a high when they visit Keresley.
