Pershore boss Danny Janes expects a dramatic change in attitude from his side this weekend after their "embarrassing" display in the mid-week defeat at Droitwich.
Janes did not hold back in his assessment of his team's performance following their penalty shootout loss to Droitwich Spa in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday.
The game finished 1-1 after normal times thanks to Petar Tonchev's stoppage-time penalty following Harry Bright's opener just a few minutes beforehand.
Regardless of the result, Janes was nothing short of furious at full-time.
"Too many players had no impact on the game," he said.
"When reflecting on their performance, a few of them would find it hard to answer the question 'what did you actually contribute?'
"Accountability is everything, too often individuals are wrapped up in cotton wool and told their performance can be better and this is where they need to improve next time.
"Players need telling they were poor, a few of my players were borderline embarrassing with their individual performance.
"Each player is at this club for a reason, because they are good players and are players that we see can help this club achieve success. If they don't perform to their individual ability and to the standards required, then they won't last here and they need to play their football elsewhere.
"The next few days we will see who can handle the criticism and who wants to improve and deliver. Those who don't like it, those who don't listen attentively and take some form of accountability, won't be here for the Clanfield game.
"It is not an over-reaction, I need players who can help us with our journey and who hang on every word that is said to them."
Despite their cup exit, Pershore remain on course to win promotion from the Hellenic League Division One.
They face a tough test this weekend, however, when they go to Clanfield 85, a side who sit eighth in the table.
But they have a number of games in hand on a lot of the sides above them and are only ten points off second-placed Milton United.
Janes is expecting and demanding a response.
"I am looking forward to Saturday, we are desperate to win the game," he added.
"But the performance means everything to us though, if players play well, play with good habits and tactical understanding and we lose, yes, we will be disappointed, but I can accept that."
