THE Worcestershire Rapids Women duo of Ellie Anderson and Charis Pavely have reached the final of the T20 U19 World Cup with England in thrilling fashion.
Anderson and Pavely were both involved in the semi-final 3-run win over Australia to book their spot in the showpiece event against India.
Anderson had taken five wickets in the game against the West Indies to secure their semi with the Aussies, and the bowler took the wicket of opener Kate Pelle inside the first over of Australia's reply.
Pavely scored four runs before being caught out, whilst Anderson added five at number 11 as England posted an under-par 99 runs from their 20 overs.
Australia were looking good at 48-3 by the tenth over but a spell of four wickets in the space of three overs handed England the advantage.
But the Aussies wrestled back control and only needed four runs to win from the final two overs but a run-out gave England a lifeline and Grace Scrivens trapped Maggie Clark LBW to wrap up the dramatic win.
The final will take place on Sunday.
