Malvern Town have bolstered their attacking options after securing the signature of prolific goalscorer Harlie Price from Hellenic Premier rivals Brimscombe and Thrupp.
The striker joins Malvern having scored 32 goals in 42 appearances for Brimmy last season and, despite injury, has also added eight goals in 18 appearances in the 2022/23 campaign so far.
His goalscoring tally speaks for itself and co-manager Lee Hooper was thrilled to have finally captured a striker he and co-boss Stephen Cleal have been after for some time.
"Harlie is someone we tried to get in before the season started," admitted co-manager, Lee Hooper.
"He decided to stay at Brimscombe at that time and we wished him well. Throughout the season he has turned down the opportunity to move to some of the big teams in our League.
"We approached Brimscombe on Sunday and the transfer was done the following day. We thank Brimmy for their co-operation in the transfer.
"Harlie will bring quality and a threat in the opposition box. He will give a boost to the squad and supporters with his arrival.
"He is well-known in the League for his quality in front of goal, which is proven by his goal tally over the years. We are glad to have him on board and we are excited by what he will bring to us."
Price did not hold back in his ambitions for the remainder of the season.
"I’m really looking forward to this challenge. It’s an exciting time in the season to be joining Malvern and hope that I can help the club achieve its objectives," he added.
"This team has quality all over the pitch and creates plenty of chances which, as a striker, I would like to think that I can be on the end of them and score goals.
"The main aim is to help the team get promotion and if I can weigh in with my fair share of goals along the way, I will be delighted."
