IT was a difficult day at the office for the Worcester Warriors Women last weekend as they felt the full force of a ruthless Exeter Chiefs Women side.
Despite winning at Sandy Park in the Allianz Cup earlier this season, Jo Yapp's side were unable to replicate that performance in the Allianz Premier 15s clash on Saturday.
Exeter ran in 10 tries in total compared to Warriors' three in a crushing 62-18 victory, making it back-to-back losses for Yapp's side.
After winning on the opening day of the league campaign at Harlequins, Worcester backed up their home defeat to Sale Sharks with a day to forget at Sandy Park.
But it was not all negative for the Worcester team as they finished the game on a high with two tries in the final ten minutes to provide some comfort.
Centre Carys Cox grabbed the first of those two late scores, cantering over after the visitors had capitalised on a loose kick, while winger Deborah Wills had the final say of the game, rounding off a slick attack from the visitors that had started wide on the left and finished wide on the right.
In the first-half, Lana Skeldon had provided the scoring pass to winger Vicky Laflin to score the first Worcester try of the day, following Sarah Nicholas' penalty from the tee.
