A GLITTERING array of medals and awards greeted club members and guests at Worcester St John’s Cycling Club presentation evening.
More than 70 people gathered at Ravenmeadow Golf Centre for the party which provided the backdrop for medals, trophies and cups awarded for the successful time trial season and cyclocross events.
The evening kicked off with a series of skills awards for the club’s younger members.
The Paul Sobczyk Young Rider of the Year award was presented to Austin Holdstock, The Dave Jennings Junior Cyclo-Cross Trophy went to Tazmin Dingle and the Dave Jennings Cyclo-Cross Trophy went to Kerry Guest with 903 points for the 2021 cyclocross season.
More than 60 cyclists participated in the club time trials this season with more than 20 non or second claim members.
Times have to be beaten three times within the season in order to win achieve the medals.
Bronze medals in the 40 plus age group went to Andy Baylis and Kerry Guest.
Bronze in the 50 plus age group went to Chris Giles, Henry Harbord and Julian Church and Peter Fryers.
Bronze in the 60 plus age group went to John Holden .
Silver medals in the senior category went to Adam Pollock and in the 50 plus age group to Chris Harle, Dave Pullen, Jon Newy and Neill Williamson
Debbie Hodson and Nigel Jinks walked away with silver in the 60 plus age group.
Gold medals went to Paul Guest and Richard Allcock.
