Worcester Warriors Women began their new Allianz Premier 15s season in scintillating style as they secured a bonus-point win over last season's semi-finalists Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.
Warriors held a 14-0 lead at half-time thanks to tries from El Febrey and captain Vicky Laflin before Bryony Cleall crossed for Quins early in the second-half to bring her side back into it.
But the visitors responded in style as Charlotte Wright Haley raced over and skipper Laflin added her second of the afternoon co secure the bonus-point.
Quins huffed and puffed and did score another try thanks to Lucy Heryet's close range finish but it was too little too late and Worcester celebrated a memorable victory in the capital.
After the game, head coach Jo Yapp said: "On the whole, I am pretty relieved but so proud of the girls to get five points on the road.
"We know Quins are a class act and I am so proud of then. It was no the prettiest of games and we probably a bit disappointed in certain aspects of the game.
"But to come here and get the win, I am just really proud."
Two-try scorer Laflin was named player of the match and follwing the full-time whistle, she added: "We really showed up as a team today.
"We did not make it easy, some of the play was really scrappy but we did really well. We know we can do better but we turned up as a team today and that's exciting going forward.
"The mood in the camp after that is outstanding, we are all so tight and together and it was nice that we could back that up with a performance on the pitch to get an amazing result."
