THE Regional 2 West Midlands division reaches round 10 this weekend as teams across Worcestershire take part in some intriguing clashes at both ends of the table.
Worcester have slumped in recent weeks after a positive start to the 2022/23 campaign and come into this Saturday's clash with Wolverhampton having lost three games in a row.
That dip in form since the home defeat to Hereford has seen them drop from second in the league to seventh but head to a Wolverhampton side who sit a place below them in the standings.
The hosts ended a run of six straight defeats last weekend in a nailbiting 31-30 victory over Whitchurch, whilst Worcester were beaten by league leaders Ludlow.
It presents a relatively decent chance for Jonny Arr's Worcester side to get back to winning ways before they fall too far away from the leading pack.
At the top end of the table it looks set to be a mouthwatering contest at Spring Lane as a red-hot Malvern side host table-toppers Ludlow.
Malvern have won six in a row including a statement 33-12 victory at Hereford (a side that ended Ludlow's perfect start to the season two weeks ago) last weekend.
As for Ludlow, they remain top with eight wins from nine and have a 100% record on the road so far with six bonus-point wins from six.
But Malvern have yet to be beaten at home in five matches, so there is plenty on the line in this one.
At the bottom, Droitwich and Evesham remain the league's worst sides on paper but with young squads at their disposal, they continue to punch above their weight.
Droitwich have improved in recent weeks and gave Stratford a scare last Saturday in a 10-24 loss but remain without a win this season. They take on mid-table Walsall away from home this weekend.
Evesham have had plenty of nearly moments in their games thus far but have a difficult match-up this weekend, heading to an in-form Stratford Upon Avon side who will be looking to close the gap on the top three this weekend with a victory.
The other matches see Old Halesonians entertain Hereford and Crewe & Nantwich head to Whitchurch.
Up into Regional 1 Midlands, mid-table Bromsgrove will be looking to keep their winning streak rumbling on when they host a struggling Lichfield outfit this weekend.
The Boars have won three in a row including wins over the the top two sides in the division in recent weeks. Kick-off is at 15:00.
