Malvern Town came from behind to beat Hereford Lads Club on Tuesday night to go top of the Hellenic League Premier table.
The visitors took the lead on 35 minutes when Luke Payne was adjudged to have fouled Levi Ellis just inside the area and Brandon Jennings stepped up to convert from the spot.
Malvern were up against it but came out with intent in the second-half and finally after 65 minutes the equaliser came as Jack Horrell arrowed the ball into the net from distance with power.
There was only one team looking like getting the winner at that stage and Malvern finally found it as a low ball into the danger zone from Spurrier with 15 minutes to play was lashed home by Joe Bates in front of goal.
Another turn around from Malvern and a sixth straight league win which sees them jump up above Cribbs and into top spot, having played a game extra, however.
Elsewhere in the division, a late goal for a second game running halted Worcester Raiders' form.
Last weekend they were denied all three points at Westfields thanks to a dramatic equaliser from former Worcester City striker Archie Muirhead in a 2-2 draw.
And then on Tuesday they encountered their first defeat of the league campaign when Cawley Cox netted a 94th minute winner for Hereford Pegasus.
Raiders had twice come from behind to draw level at 2-2 with 20 minutes left thanks to goals from Richard Smith and Isaac Cooper.
But Cox provided the heartbreak as Worcester's unbeaten run came to an end.
