SATURDAY may be Newcastle Falcons last game of the season but they won't want us beating them again.
They have learned a lot since we played in the European Challenge Cup semi-final and they got a result against Leicester last weekend.
They showed that they are far more direct and powerful up front.
They played Wasps last night and, depending on how that went, we could be in with a shout of finishing above them in the table if we beat them again - and that is something they definitely won't want happening.
We still have a lot to play for this season and, with a cup final against Bath to come, the level of intensity in the camp is extremely high and that can only be a good thing.
It means every one of us is focused right until the end as we have something very big to play for.
Last weekend we completed the double over Bristol and it is extremely pleasing to do that over one of the West Country teams.
The young lads did extremely well again and credit must go to Andrew Stanley in the academy.
I think we are producing more players through our academy system that are capable of playing Premiership rugby than any other club in the land.
The game against Bristol also saw the return of Chris Fortey and Chris Horsman and that was great to see.
It has been a very bad year for Hors'. He picked up a bicep injury in his first game back after the World Cup and to finally have him back on the pitch was fantastic.
He never lets you down and to have him and Foro' back is great.
The one negative that did come out of the Bristol encounter was that we conceded a lot of penalties.
We have worked on our discipline all season but we are not overly concerned by what happened last Saturday.
The good thing for us again was that we scored three good tries and once more we have out-scored a team in terms of crossing the line.
We always set out not to concede a try and we did that at the Memorial Stadium.
Everything now is about building momentum towards that cup final at Kingsholm.
The victory at Bristol kept that going and we will be looking to maintain the momentum against Newcastle on Saturday.
