GRAHAM Turner believes Hereford United have nothing to fear when they line-up in League One next season.

The Bulls clinched automatic promotion last weekend with a 3-0 win at Brentford.

United have enjoyed a remarkable season, maintaining a challenge at the top end of the table from the start of the campaign.

They also saw off Leeds, Har-tlepool and Tranmere - all League One opponents - during their FA Cup run.

All that has given Turner every reason to think Here-ford have what it takes to survive in the third tier of English football.

The United boss said: "I am sure we are capable of more than holding our own at the higher level because of the spirit in the club.

"Of course, we will now have to invest in the playing staff. We have to go into League One confident that we can not only survive but enjoy life.

"I don't see any merits in struggling against relegation so every effort will be made to lay the foundations for a team capable of flourishing."

He added: "We defied many people's predictions at the start of the season.

"We have competed with some big clubs by League Two standards and to finish third in the table is a credit to everybody."

Hereford's promotion celebrations continue apace tomorrow with an open-top bus parade leaving Edgar Street at 11.15am and heading to the Town Hall for 11.45am for a civic reception.
