HEREFORD United manager Graham Turner wants his players to keep their celebrations on ice until after tomorrow's final match against Grimsby Town (3pm).

The Bulls have been riding on the crest of a wave since last Saturday's 3-0 victory at Brentford secured the third automatic promotion place to League One.

A carnival atmosphere is anticipated at Edgar Street when Alan Buckley's Mariners visit but Turner still expects his side to approach the game in the same manner they have all season.

The United chief said: "We want to win the game and go out on a high note. I am sure we are capable of doing that if we are professional.

"There are a lot of distractions so it's a matter of staying focused come 3pm, pick up three points and then we can really celebrate.

"We have reduced prices by £3 right across the board and I am hoping there will be a carnival atmosphere.

"We have enjoyed our time since last Saturday, mostly glowing in the feeling of success. That won't last too long because we have got to get back to work and structure everything for next season.

"We will enjoy it but we know there is still a lot of hard work to be done."

Victory would see Hereford finish one of their most successful seasons, in which they also lost to FA Cup finalists Cardiff City in the fourth round of the competition, on 88 points.

Turner added: "It's been an excellent season, not just with the league results, but we have had good cup results and performances."

He has a full squad to pick from but will need to decide who takes the place of loanee Gary Hooper after the striker, who scored 12 goals in 19 matches, returned to parent club Southend United.

As well as reducing admission prices, the Bulls will hand out 1,000 white balloons before the game and the players are to embark on a post-match lap-of-honour.

Grimsby have lost their last seven matches, including the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final to Milton Keynes Dons at Wembley.

They could welcome back Danny North from a spell of tendonitis in his knee to partner Nathan Jarman up front.
