KIDDERMINSTER Victoria have targeted a top-four place as they start their bid for Birmingham League Premier Division success.

South African quick bowler Mario Saliwa has joined the ranks along with former Solihull Blossomfield seamer Arfan Khan.

However, Will Gifford has left Chester Road, James Taylor has signed for Leicestershire and Jon Miles has joined the MCC Young Cricketers at Lord's.

Kidderminster captain Jonathan Wright, whose side start at Wolverhampton, said: "We are looking to at least maintain our progress as a club which saw us finish fifth last year. I would like to think we could finish in the top four and see where that takes us.

"Progress would be to stay in the top half of the table because it's getting increasingly competitive."

Brockhampton face a local derby against Kington in their first match in Division Three after winning the Crusader Worcestershire League last season.

The Herefordshire club have added batsman Steve Williams to their team and Queensland all-rounder Shaun Cartwright.

"We are all geared up for it," captain Jonny Wright said.

"It's what we have been working towards since 2003 when we won Division Two of the Worcestershire League and, since then, we have been at the top end of Division One and been looking to get up into the Birmingham League.

"I suppose our main aim this season is to stay in the league and see where we go from there."

Bromsgrove, under the stewardship of Mark Evenson, start their Division One campaign at Dorridge.

They have added strength to their squad in the shape of former Barnt Green skipper Lyndon Jones and all-rounder Aatif Ali, brother of Worcestershire's Kabir.
