FORMER Worcester St John's Cycling Club member Gavin Poupart, now with Echelon-Spiuk, claimed second place in the Beacon RCC Little Mountain time trial.
The eight St John's riders in the 120-strong field endured mixed fortunes.
Steve Price suffered a puncture but still managed to finish in one hour, 57 minutes, 42 seconds.
Dave Preece had a good ride with 1:58.59, while Ron Clews (1:59.51), Richard Graham (2:05.31), Chris Cox (2:20.04) and Richard Finch (2:33.27) all finished the course. Simon Garrett was going well but crashed on a tight turn at the bottom of Ankerdine Hill.
Tom Forester picked up his first point with 10th place in a hard-fought fourth cat sprint race at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa. John Bristow finished eighth and 12th in his two third cat races.
Bristow also finished just outside the top 10 in a third cat race at the Birmingham CC circuit races.
Also at Birmigham, Forester and Simon Rousell both rode in a fourth cat race.
Roussell staged a superd sprint finish to claim second spot, while Forester once again ended in 10th place.
