IN-FORM Kidderminster Harriers striker Iyseden Christie is locked in a contract dispute with the Aggborough club.
The 31-year-old hitman sees his deal with Mark Yates' side run out at the end of the current campaign, but following his recent purple patch the former Rochdale forward wants a two-year deal.
However, it seems that the club are reluctant to give Christie that deal.
"Ideally I would like a two-year contract or at least a clause that says if I play so many games then the next season is guaranteed.
"But that is a sticking point at the moment. I don't feel it's too much to ask to be offered a two-year contract.
"I don't want to leave just because of the length of contract, but at the end of the day I have to look after myself and my family."
Yates says the pair have spoken about a new deal and it appearshe doesn't want to lose his in-form striker.
"I know what he wants but he hasn't come back to me yet so we are waiting."
