TALENTED sailor and rower Luke Almond is chasing an impressive double.
The 17-year-old partially-sighted student has already won a place in the prestigious London Sailing Project.
In addition, Almond is training for selection to represent the Great Britain rowing team in the Beijing Paralympics.
He has recently become a junior member of Worcester Rowing Club and was set a training regime of 20 hours per week by his national trainer Tom Dyson.
The New College Worcester student won his place in the sailing team after a selection weekend in Portsmouth which featured 50 hopefuls.
Almond will set sail with the 15-strong team in Rona II for the renowned Tall Ships Race from Liverpool to Maloy, Norway, on July 21.
