EVESHAM'S Simon Andrews burns rubber on his way to finishing eighth in the first race of the British Superbike Championships at Thruxton.
He powered to seventh on his Jentin Racing Lloyds British Yamaha but suffered chest burns when the bike in front shot hot metal shards out of its exhaust.
Andrews, 23, retired from the second race after clutch trouble.
