HEREFORD maintained their promotion push and sent Wrexham into the Blue Square Premier by completing a double over their old rivals.
Goals from Gary Hooper and Theo Robinson tonight extended the Bulls' League Two advantage over Rochdale and Stockport to four points.
Hereford boss Graham Turner axed striker Steve Guinan from his side, while Wayne Brown was passed fit to take his place in goal.
There were chances at both ends in the first five minutes.
Richard Rose cracked a shot wide before a surging 40-yard run by Matt Done ended with an excellent stop from Brown.
But the best opening fell to Hereford after four minutes.
Ben Smith's flick was played by Hooper into the path of Robinson who raced clear only to slice horribly wide.
The lively Done forced another Brown save on 25 minutes but Hereford were the more potent attacking force, just lacking the final delivery.
Brown, though, had to come to Hereford's rescue with another brilliant stop on 35 minutes, pushing away a snap-shot by Neil Roberts.
The Bulls, however, took the lead two minutes before the interval.
A fine pass out of defence by Sammy Igoe was backheeled neatly by Robinson to Hooper who advanced before netting with an angled drive.
Early in the second-half, Robinson raced on to a Smith pass but hit the base of a post.
Hereford's need for a second goal was exemplified when Marc Williams got away from Karl Broadhurst and forced a fine save from Brown.
But the Bulls' second goal arrived on the hour when Robinson pulled down a Rose cross and drove a shot under Gavin Ward from close range.
