BROMYARD Rugby Club was grateful for the generosity of their members and guests who raised £1,200 for St Michael's Hospice at a recent sportsmans dinner at the clubhouse.
Over 250 people enjoyed the company of ex-Wales and British Lions player Scott Quinnell, currently a Sky Sports pundit.
An auction of items donated by members and friends of the club was orchestrated by local auctioneer Barry Bufton.
It is not the first time that the Bromyard club has supported local charitable causes. They were able to donate a sum to Acorns Childrens' Hospice Trust in 2005.
Club president Clive Rich-ards OBE and chairman Ed Pitt presented the cheque to Katie Farmer from St Michael's Hospice.
