THE Atkins family from Worcester had a successful time at the Worcestershire County Indoor Bowls finals at Bromsgrove.
Mark Atkins was successful in the singles, pairs and triples and Ryan Atkins won the mixed pairs.
In the singles event, Mark was 11-0 and then 15-4 down to three times winner Adrian Burbridge but fought back to trail by just one shot, 18-17.
On the next end, Atkins produced four bowls inside a foot of the jack to score four shots to take the title for the seventh time and complete a remarkable comeback.
In the pairs, Mark with partner Brian Whitcombe again faced Burbridge partnered by his son Gareth.
The Burbridge's were 12-5 up at eight ends but then the Atkins-Whitcombe partnership recovered to go 15-12 ahead at 14 ends and eventually go on to win 22-17.
The triples saw Atkins and Whitcombe joined by ex-international Clive Hall and the trio opened up a 16-5 lead at the half-way stage.
But they only just managed to hold on for a 21-20 win over Bromsgrove's Tony Smith, Eddie Lewis and Pete Davis.
The fours competition completed a miserable weekend for Burbridge and his partners Marc Crump, Luke and Ben Harwood, accepting defeat on the twelfth end to former England under 25 international Marc Stones supported by youngsters Andy Walters, James Allington and Martin Hall.
In the mixed pairs event, holders Peter Bryan and Jean Grove were 9-3 up at ten ends but did not score again with 13-year-old Ryan Atkins ably supported by Jean Meek winning 17-9.
The under 25 singles final saw a high quality match with holder Ben Harwood scoring two shots on the final end to secure victory over county outdoor under 25 champion Gareth Roberts.
