TWO teams lifted silverwar as the Birdseye Sports Evesham League draws to a close with a succession of cup finals.
Red Horse defeated Droitwich Spa 4-2 to win the Worcester Nursing Home Cup, while Golden Cross edged out Eckington by the odd goal in three in the Bluck Cup final.
The Worcester Infirmary Minor Cup quarter-final tie between Badsey Rec and Cross Keys didn't last the distance and was abandoned two minutes from time with the Malvern visitors leading 7-3.
Evesham WMC moved off the foot of the Division One table after a 5-1 hammering of Broadway United. Matt Layton netted a hat-trick for the winners. James Heritage also bagged a treble as Riverside maintained their fourth division promotion push with a 5-1 success against Ambassador Reserves.
Crowle moved within a point of the Division Two crown after defeating Oddfellows Arms 6-4 with Gwilliam and McDonald both on target twice for the leaders.
The other match in the section resulted in a 3-0 win for Alderton over Cider Mill.
There was a rare goalless draw in the third division as two of the bottom three teams failed to find the net and a point apiece was welcomed by both Bengeworth Sports and Broadway United Reserves.
Pinvin United scraped a 3-2 win at Stour Excelsior to cement second place and ensure closest rivals Honeybourne Gate Inn are unable to deny them promotion.
