BATH head coach Steve Meehan has tipped Wor-cester Warriors to climb the Guinness Premier-ship table next season after seeing his side pushed all the way in a pulsating clash at Six-ways.

The men from The Rec claimed a 23-20 victory, but the Warriors more than matched them at times and arguably could have won the game, which left Aussie Mee-han full of respect.

Mike Ruddock's men led the game going into the last quarter but could not quite hang on for the win against powerful opponents, but the Bath boss is convinced Warriors are moving in the right direction.

He said: "This is a very good Worcester side with a great pack and plenty of speed through the midfield and out onto the wings. They can pose teams plenty of problems and we've seen that over the last six weeks.

"Obviously it is not a case of going into the game thinking they are running near the bottom of the table, so it will be easy. I think Worcester will build on this season and next year we will see a side that is pressing further and further up the table."
