WORCESTERSHIRE took more awards than any other county in the npower Midlands Disability Sports Awards held at Aston Villa, winning four of the 11 accolades.
The EFDS Young Male Achiever of the Year was athlete and swimmer Ben O'Brien from Rigby Hall School, Bromsgrove.
The npower Partnership Award went to Worcester Rugby Club for their work in developing a tag rugby programme opening up the sport to disabled youngsters.
Chadsgrove School and Specialist Sports College, Bromsgrove, was School of the Year and Clive Spencer, a teacher at New College, Worcester, won the Ambassador of Disability Sports award.
Spencer has been a PE teacher at the school for visually impaired students for 39 years.
