MANAGER Graham Turner says Hereford United's last two results prove they have what it takes to win automatic promotion.
The Bulls returned from Darlington last Saturday with a 1-0 victory, courtesy of striker Gary Hooper, and drew 0-0 at League Two leaders Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday.
Those results have kept United in the third automatic promotion place on 79 points, one better than Stockport County and seven behind tomorrow's opponents Peterborough.
Turner said: "The results gave us four more points but, additionally, they gave us the self-belief that we can still compete against the sides in contention with us.
"We didn't play particularly well with the ball at MK Dons but we defended stoutly and resolutely and we had to work hard for the points.
"I thought, all round, we were excellent against Darlington."
The visit of Darren Ferguson's Posh completes a trio of fixtures dubbed the week of death' in some quarters and Turner knows his side's fate is in their own hands.
Turner said: "We are still in the driving seat after those two difficult games. We have done it all season and I've no reason to believe we can't get three points."
Victory at Edgar Street would move Hereford a step closer to League One, while the Dons can play their part by winning at Stockport. A large crowd is expected at Hereford and tickets have been in demand.
Turner added: "It should be a good crowd. They should bring a few. It's all boiling up nicely."
Loan midfielder Sammy Igoe is expected to return to the side for the first time since damaging his ankle on his debut against Chester City.
Striker Trevor Benjamin could also be in contention following a spell on the sidelines with an eye infection.
Keeper Wayne Brown and full-back Trent McClenahan both missed training on Thursday with minor knocks but should be involved.
Peterborough have won just one of their last three games but boast an abundance of goal-scoring talent.
Aaron Mclean is the league's top marksman with 27 strikes.
