KIDDERMINSTER Harriers assistant manager Neil Howarth believes the fear of relegation will be a factor in tomorrow's Blue Square Premier trip to Weymouth (3pm).

The Terras go into the game at the Wessex Stadium just three points above the drop-zone despite giving their survival chances a boost with a 2-1 victory against doomed Droylsden on Tuesday.

Harriers faced a similar situation 10 days ago when they won 6-1 at a Halifax Town side in danger of taking the plunge to Blue Square North.

Mark Yates' men have nothing but pride to play for and have produced some excellent football on their way to going seven matches without defeat.

The Aggborough outfit have been victorious in five of those matches, including scoring 13 goals in winning all three away from home.

Howarth said: "The lads are playing well and we are scoring some goals. It's going to be a difficult game, they have got a lot to play for but there's no reason why we can't go there and play well.

"It's a bit like the Halifax game. It was a big game for us but a big game for them. When the pressure is off, sometimes you can go out, relax and play your own game but the nerves can get to the teams who have things to play for.

"Whoever we play, we seem to be putting in good performances. The one way we can take something out of the season is to finish strongly and look forward to next season."

Captain Mark Creighton should return to the side after sitting out last Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Histon with infected blisters. Keeper Chris MacKenzie has recovered from a thigh problem and faces a battle with Dean Coleman, who has deputised for the last five games.

"Dean has done very well," Howarth added. "There's no reason to rush Chris back but we would like to get him a game before the end of the season."

Weymouth knocked Harriers out of the FA Trophy on penalties in January.
