BROMSGROVE Rovers caretaker manager Duane Darby believes his team is still capable of beating the drop.

Eight games without a win, including defeats at relegated Cheshunt and Cirencester Town, have left Rovers firmly in a relegation scrap.

The Victoria Ground side are two points away from fifth-from-bottom Corby Town with only two games of the British Gas Business Premier Division season left.

on Saturday (3pm), Rovers entertain Team Bath, who are chasing three points in their title bid, but Darby remains confident of success.

"If we win the next two games, I think it will be enough," he said. "It's not over, we are not dead and buried.

"They need to come to us and get three points to win the league but we need three to stay up so it should be an entertaining game. We seem to get decent results against the top of the league sides. I'm confident we can get a result out of the game."

Darby has also called on the fans to come out in force to get behind the team in their final home match of the season.

"More than ever, we need the fans right behind us," he said. "We need as many turning up as possible. They can play a big part in it.

"They were magnificent against Cirencester away, now we need them to get behind us at home.

"They can be our 12th man and make a big difference for us to stay in the league and hopefully we will give them the performance and result."

Rovers will be without Matt Birley after the winger sustained medial ligament damage in his knee.
