STOURPORT Swifts chairman Chris Reynolds believes the club can make a push for the British Gas Business Division One Midlands play-offs next season.
With the Walshes Meadow side comfortably assured of another season at level four of the non-league pyramid, manager Neil Hunt has turned his attention to squad building for the new campaign.
Although Swifts are only six places above basement side Berkhamsted Town, they have been safe for a long while and are looking at their options for 2008/09.
"We are preparing for next season," Reynolds said. "Neil has done a great job since he's been here.
"He's done well with the budget available and considering we were down at the bottom of the league. The squad he is looking at for next year is very good and the future is looking very good.
"I think we want to be in a play-off position next year. We have got a lot of potential with the under 18s."
Swifts visit Bedworth United for their penultimate match of the season on Saturday (3pm) looking to record their first win in five games.
Hunt's side drew 3-3 against Romulus last Saturday, despite leading 2-0 and 3-2.
Reynolds added: "They were all over us in the first 20 minutes and we could have conceded three or four. Once we had scored we started to get into the game."
Midfielder Nathan Jukes (hamstring) is set to return but striker Richard Burgess and Craig Webb are both at a wedding.
