A STRONG wind caused problems for a large field in Worcester Golf and Country Club's April medal at Boughton Park.
But it did not prevent Mick Rentch shooting a nett 69 to win Division One.
Rentch, who plays off five, shot a gross 74 to pip Les Jenkins (80-10-70), who pushed Martin Lewis (78-8-70) into third place by virtue of a countback.
Phil Shurmer shot the lowest gross of 73.
Division Two saw an unusual occurrence when the top-three players shot the same nett score of 67 so the positions were determined by countback.
Paul Davis (15) grabbed top spot, former professional snooker player Dave Finbow (11) was second and George Turberfield (14) finished third.
Finbow shot the lowest gross in the division of 78.
Alex Begley (92-23-69) won Division Three with Terry Chen (91-20-71) second and Jason Lee (90-18-72) third.
Lee, John Fellows, Bill Evans and Adrian Avery all shot the lowest gross score of 90 in the division.
In the Thursday Medal, five players recorded scores of nett 66 and all positions were determined by countback.
Phil Campbell (72-6-66) finished top of the pile with Dave Holliday (76-10-66) second and Trevor Portman (72-6-66) third.
Oliver Farr, who plays off minus one, recorded the lowest gross score of 65.
In Division Two, Peter McBurney (80-16-64) finished first with A Byrne (80-15-65) second and Don Warner (78-13-65) third.
