IN EVERY relationship people can get cold feet, but as Will Bowley approaches his seventh year at Worcester Warriors he is showing no signs of that notorious itch.

Since the arrival of former Wales Grand Slam winning coach Mike Ruddock, the soon to-be 24-year-old feels that instead of getting the jitters, the lock feels his Sixways love affair is blossoming greater than ever.

A product of the Warriors academy and having represented England at Under 18, 19 and 21 level, Bowley is learning his trade from two of the best locks in the Premiership - Craig Gillies and All Black Greg Rawlinson.

Although with those two men in front of him, the 23-year-old believes he has got event better despite the lack of game time.

"With Greg and Craig here it is difficult to nail down a starting spot, I knew that would be the case this season, but I am still learning about my game and feel I can pick up tips and learn from them," said Bowley.

"Greg has come here with a high profile and I have learnt from him and the way he plays around the park. Craig is also a real role model for me with what he has done at the club.

"I have spent over six years here now and feel I have really kicked on this season.

"I have been very pleased with my season on a personal level so far, I have been a part of every game apart from a couple in the Guinness Prem-iership, I have managed to get on in the rest.

"I am enjoying the environment this season and the style the coaches want us to adopt, they want us to get our hands on the ball and that is my game."

Since the arrival of Ruddock, the Warriors young guns have been given their chance to shine and Bowley only needs to look at the likes of winger Miles Benjamin for inspiration.

When the Sixways club unveiled All Black wing sensation Rico Gear, the young flyer could have been forgiven if he felt that he would be keeping the bench warm for most of the campaign.

Instead he has gone out and forced his way in front of Marcel Garvey, a player once described as a rugby version of Wayne Rooney.

"The young lads are really being given a chance with guys like Miles Benjamin, Matt Mullan, Tom Wood and Chris Pennell all getting first team action," said Bowley.

"The coaching team here believes in youth and that gives me real hope that I can be a part of the future here."

Bowley also has two tries to his name this term, which both came in the EDF Energy Cup clash with London Irish.

"I like to remind a few of the boys who haven't got as many tries as me this season, especially those in the backs," joked Bowley.
