MALVERN Town are second from bottom in the British Gas Business Division One Midlands standings and have not won for 13 games.
Given that record they could be forgiven wanting a little piece of of good fortune to come their way.
However, lady luck does not seem to smiling around the Langland Stadium as Malvern have four key players missing for tomorrow's long trip to Bedfordshire to face Barton Rovers (3pm).
Nick Clayton (knee), Aaron Drake (hamstring) and Mark Goodman (hamstring) are all injured, while Dave Cannon in unavailable for the clash.
"It doesn't get any better," manager Joe Rawle said. "It's a 260-mile trip there and back but we have got to go down there thinking we can get something."
Rawle will be scouring the reserves to deputise at Barton although he accepts there is a gulf in standard to the second string.
Barton are also enjoying a resurrengence in form, having taken seven points from their last three games.
They defeated Stourport Swifts and Cinderford Town and held Chasetown to a 0-0 draw last Saturday.
"Barton have had a bad run since Christmas but they are on a decent run," boss Rawle said.
Malvern, on the other hand, lost 3-0 at high-lying Leamington last time out but Rawle was pleased with what he saw before the goals went in at the New Windmill.
The manager said: "We played well in the first-half and then got stung by two goals in three minutes and it killed us off a little bit."
On a positive note, Rawle expects tomorrow's absent quartet to be fit to face Stourbridge at home next weekend.
