WORCESTER Women's Firsts suffered their second Midlands Premier League defeat of the season to Olton and West Warwicks, going down 3-2.
Worcester took time to settle but contained Olton until mid-way through the first-half when a deflection gave the keeper no chance.
Olton scored their second from a penalty corner and Worcester missed out when Elaine Shepperd failed to net Sophie Wood's great pass.
Soon after half-time with a rearranged forward line, Shepperd did score.
Sheer determination and forceful play followed with a deliberate foul outside the D' resulting in a yellow card for an Olton defender.
Shepperd struck an effort over the bar before Olton made it 3-1 against the run of play.
Worcester never gave up and captain Cath McComb surged forward to give Shepperd her second goal. But, despite continued attacking moves and good possession, they were unable to find the leveller.
The young fourths side lost 4-0 at home to Old Silhillians in Worcestershire League Division Three as a lack of experience and defensive errors cost them.
There were strong performances from Claire Ramsden and young keeper Liz Furbeck as Worcester kept the score to 1-0 by half-time.
But, in the second-half, they lost their shape and conceded three simple goals.
Worcester Badgers Potters had a physical advantage but opponents Lichfield produced some excellent hockey.
However, the hosts won 3-1 with two goals before half-time from Luke Owen and Jake Glass after a penalty corner.
Lichfield capitalised on mistakes to pull a goal back but Glass completed a well-deserved victory.
