ELEVEN North Midlands players have been included in the Mid-lands West Under 20s squad for their game against Midlands East at Broadstreet Rugby Club near Coventry on Wednesday February 27 (7.30 pm).
The game forms an important part of the selection process for the Midlands Under-20 side that will play London and South East at a venue and date to be agreed and North Wales and the United States in training games at Ruthin in June.
The two sides have been chosen by the Midlands Under 20 selectors who graded each player who took part in the Midlands group matches in the National Under-20 Championship recently.
North Midlands topped Midlands Group B' and have the strongest representation in the Midlands West team which also includes players from Warwickshire, Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire and Oxford University.
Worcester full-back Cameron Pimlow, Moseley winger Sam Yarwood, Stourbridge centre Jonathon Ford, scrum-half Luke Ward, prop Paul Norris and lock Will Betts (all Moseley) and Stourbridge flanker Jake Abbott have all been named in the starting XV.
Flanker Ben Pons and number eight Matthew Tibbatts, Ellesmere College hooker Sam Lewis and Worcester prop Charley Thomas have been named as replacements for the Midlands West team.
