EVER since Hereford United thrashed Dagenham and Redbridge 4-1 earlier this month, the Essex club have been like a wounded animal.

The Daggers crushed Chester City 6-2, destroyed Grimsby Town 4-1 and beat Morecambe 2-0 on Saturday.

Now they will look to gain revenge against the Bulls tonight (7.45).

But Hereford boss Graham Turner says his League Two title-chasing side are ready for anything John Still's men can throw at them.

"They have done really well since we beat them - they have scored 12 goals in three games," Turner said.

"We would have expected a tough game down there anyway but, with the way that they have been playing, we have been making sure that we are prepared."

Boosted by a 2-1 derby victory at Shrewsbury at the weekend with goals from Simon Johnson and Gary Hooper, Hereford have maintained the pressure on league leaders MK Dons.

With Paul Ince's side playing League One leaders Swansea City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area final last night, victory for the Bulls would take them one point clear at the top having both played 33 games.

"The good thing is that everything is in our own hands," Turner said.

"Hopefully we will get the three points at Dagenham and then we will look at the league table.

"There is still a lot of football to be played and there are four teams close together who are capable of putting together a good run and breaking into the top three."

Not for the first time this season, Hereford had to come from behind to claim victory at Oteley Road on Saturday and Turner was pleased with the way that his charges responded.

"Of course it is a concern that we are conceding goals. It would be nice to cut that out all together," the Hereford boss added.

"However, the manner in which we have been responding is very pleasing. With the type of football that we play it will leave us vulnerable to concede goals."

Turner has no fresh injury worries for the trip to Victoria Road with on-loan midfielder Tounami Diagouraga, Luke Webb and experienced striker Steve Guinan still missing through injury.
