MALVERN Town will take the plusses out of this defeat at second-placed Leamington.

Despite going down 3-0, manager Joe Rawle will be pleased with the effort that his British Gas Business Division One Midlands strugglers put in.

The Langland Stadium side lost their skipper Jamie Hyde in the 34th minute after he picked up a leg injury.

The Brakes top-scorer Ben Mackey put Leamington into the lead six minutes before the interval.

The hosts had to wait until the 58th minute to double their lead when Mackey was again on target.

Josh Blake ensure that the points would stay in War-wickshire with Leamington's third on the hour mark.

Malvern re-organised themselves and with keeper Craig Humphries in sparkling form it prevented high-flying Leam-ington from creating any further chances
