WORCESTER City manager Richard Dryden's hopes of picking up a big points haul over the next three days to boost his side's play-off hopes suffered a blow when they went down 3-1 at Hyde United.
The defeat puts even more pressure on City to gain maximum points when they entertain Vauxhall Motors in another Blue Square North clash at St George's Lane on Monday.
Worcester went behind on 19 minutes at Hyde when David Morley headed home a corner. Nine minutes before the interval Chris Simm made it 2-0.
Gareth Seddon made the points safe on 77 minutes and Matt Dinsmore's 77th minute strike was City's only consolation.
There's no stopping Hereford United, however. The Bulls continued their march towards League Two promotion with a 2-1 win at Shrewsbury.
Simon Johnson fired the Bulls level (27) after Asa Hall's first minute goal and Gary Hooper (67) wrapped up the points with his fifth goal in successive matches.
Kidderminster Harriers' Blue Square Premier season got gloomier as they slipped to 2-1 home defeat to Salisbury City.
After Iyseden Christie missed a sixth minute penalty, Russell Penn gave Harriers the lead five minutes later.
Liam Feeney equalised for City in the 25th minute and just four minutes later the same player grabbed what was to prove Salisbury's winner.
