HEREFORD United are keeping their minds on the present and not getting carried away by the thought of promotion, according to first-team coach John Trewick.
The Bulls have won four games in a row to lift themselves to second in the League Two table with 15 matches left.
Victory at Shropshire rivals Shrewsbury Town tomorrow could see Hereford go top of the pile depending on MK Dons' result at Barnet.
But Trewick insists that scenario could not be further from their thoughts as they set about continuing their impressive recent run.
He said: "We have just put a little run together where we have picked up four consecutive wins, which is pleasing. We have scored a number of goals and hopefully we can continue that.
"Regardless of who is top tomorrow all we want to do is win our match.
"We are not looking at the promotion issue. We can see the league and we understand where we are but we also know what we have done to achieve that. We are looking at the short-term.
"We have broken the season down into six-match mini leagues and we have tried to achieve our points target within that period. So far this season we have achieved that and that's all we are doing at the moment and not looking beyond that goal.
"It's very much centred on what's happening now."
Captain Ben Smith is available again following a brief spell on the sidelines with a groin strain, but Toumani Diagouraga (groin), Steve Guinan (calf) and Luke Webb (ankle) continue to miss out.
Loan signings Gary Hooper and Sherjill MacDonald are also set to resume a partnership up front which has yielded nine goals in three matches.
Trewick said: "It's been great for them. Gary came in first and has scored four in five matches and Sherjill has scored six in three and we have managed to win all three games.
"It's very good for them but it's more than just them, it's everybody contributing together."
Midfielder Stephen Gleeson has also joined for a month from Wolves and goes straight into the Hereford squad for their first trip to Oteley Road.
Trewick added: "We need to go there and make sure we continue our progress and keep them where they are.
"But it will be a diffiuclt match, they are a decent side and will be going out for the win.
"As far as we are concerned it's another game that we can get three points out of."
