WHEN fighting for survival and finding points are hard to come by, the last place you want to go to is a team chasing for the title.

But that is exactly what Joe Rawle's Malvern Town have to do on Saturday when they travel to Leamington in the British Gas Business League Division One Midlands.

The gulf in resources between the two sides is huge, but the Langland Stadium chief is hoping that his side can cause an upset.

"I know it's a big ask, but we have to go there thinking that we can get something out of this game," Rawle said. "We have to be positive."

The New Windmill Ground outfit were the early season runaway leaders, but the Warwickshire side have lived up to their nickname The Brakes' over the past six weeks as they now trail current table-toppers Evesham United by a massive seven points.

Rawle will be boosted by the return of his skipper Jamie Hyde, who last week rejected moves to Stourport Swifts and Premier Division side Bromsgrove Rovers, and former Worcester City midfielder Joel Skyers from suspension.

But the Malvern boss was set to deal with two unnamed players last night after the duo missed training earlier in the week.

Defender Andrew Widdowson has signed a dual registration with Midlands Combination Division One side Archdales 73.
