A DISAPPOINTED Archdales 73 side left Stockingford thinking they deserved something from a very dull game, which they lost 2-0 in Midland Combination Division One.
Basement boys Dales dominated the first-half and caused The Cabbages several problems on the break with Dean McCormack attacking up the left but strikers Jason Beck and Lee Seldon were unable to convert his crosses.
Keeper Dean Smith was hardly tested in the opening 45 minutes as Dales continued to push for a breakthrough.
Dales' manager Martin Step-hens gave debuts to Joel Hobbs and Chris Newman in defence who played alongside the ever-present Matt Wilkes and Ashley Banner.
The deadlock was broken mid-way through the second half when a quick bit of trickery left Newman behind and a weak clearance by Joel Hobbs fell to the feet of a Cabbage and his effort beat Smith.
Stockingford doubled their lead quickly after, again a quick break this time resulting in the through ball being put on a plate to make it 2-0.
Stephens said: "We didn't get the rub of the green here but it will change and I will get this club out of this situation."
