PERSHORE were left to rue missed opportunities after going down 17-10 at home to Chosen Hill Former Pupils in Western Counties North.
The first game at Piddle Park in 2008 due to yet more flooding was highly entertaining, with the visitors scoring the winning converted try with less than five minutes to play.
The home side started well and their forwards soon started to exert some dominance on their opposing pack. It was from a scrum that Pershore opened their account with a push-over try for number eight Martin Hope. Centre Scott Morris converted.
The visitors were soon level, catching the Pershore defence napping to grab a converted try of their own.
Mid-way through the half new signing at fly-half, Will Woodhouse, exchanged penalties with his opposite number to make the score 10-10 going into the final quarter.
The remainder of the game was tense and it was the visitors who got the winning score after attacking from the back of a scrum near the Pershore line.
