YOUNGSTERS from Perdiswell Primary School, in Worcester, are celebrating after clinching victory in a regional six-a-side football tournament and will now go on to represent Worcestershire in the next stage.
The school's team took on the winners from six other areas in the Worcestershire final of the English Schools FA Trophy, which was played at Pershore High School.
The Perdiswell side battled through the early stages of the competition to qualify for the final. In the final, they were up against Ipsley Middle School from Redditch and the Worcester school children managed to lift the title.
Perdiswell will now go on to represent Worcestershire in the competition's regional finals, which will be held in Leicestershire. The school are now the proud holders of both county cups.
