MANAGER Richard Dryden believes his side were more than worthy of their point against Nuneaton Borough.

Adam Webster scored eight minutes from time to earn City a share of the spoils at Liberty Way after Bradley Pritchard had given Borough a 14th-minute lead.

Nuneaton were on top in the first-half, with keeper Cameron Belford coming to Worcester's rescue on several occasions, but the visitors dominated for long spells in the second-half.

Dryden was pleased with what he saw, particularly after the disappointment of last Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Hucknall.

He said: "We didn't play in the first-half but we started the second-half like a house on fire.

"We kept on going, kept doing the right things, got crosses in the box and a point was the least we deserved. We got a decent response from Saturday as well.

"It could have been 4-3 either way because there were a lot of chances, the keepers were on top form. It must have been an enjoyable game to watch and we were close to winning it.

"Emeka Nwadike has run his heart out again. People ask if you've got enough leaders on the pitch and they got their answer with him on his own let alone the rest of them."

The result still leaves City seven points adrift of fifth-placed Nuneaton who have a game in hand in the race for the play-offs.

Dryden said: "We are delighted with a point but you look at it the league now and maybe it's a step too far away but there are a lot of twists and turns to come.

"I just want to win as many games now until the end of the season and see where it takes us."

He added: "I think Nuneaton are probably the best side we've played. I think if they get into the play-offs and we don't, they are set up to win them."
