WORCESTER City manager Richard Dryden insists his side have nothing to prove to Nuneaton Borough.
The two sides meet tomorrow night (7.45) for a rearranged Blue Square North match at Liberty Way, a month after floodlight failure forced the original fixture to be abandoned with Nuneaton leading 2-0.
Power first failed with 10 minutes remaining and the stadium was plunged into darkness once again two minutes into the restart half-an-hour later.
The decision to call the match off led to days of arguments among rival fans on internet message boards as to whether the result should be allowed to stand before Football Conference officials ruled for a replay.
Dryden now wants his players to put all that talk behind them and concentrate on bouncing back from Saturday's disappointing 1-0 defeat against Hucknall.
The manager, whose side scored twice in the last 11 minutes against Workington last month and came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Blyth Spartans, said: "We haven't got a lot to prove there.
"We played well in the second-half and coped well in the first-half. The slate is wiped clean and hopefully we can make amends for the display on Saturday.
"I just want to see some reaction from players. It's the first time I have been really unhappy after a game, not because we didn't play well but because of the work-rate and the desire when we went 1-0 down to stop them scoring again. Some players just threw in the towel."
Victory for City would edge them closer to fifth-placed Nuneaton but Dryden thinks his side missed an opportunity to put pressure on the play-off pack at the weekend.
Both Borough and Stalybridge lost 2-0 at Burscough and Harrogate respectively, while Hyde were held to a home draw by bottom club Leigh RMI.
"Time's running out," Dryden said. "We shot ourselves in the foot big-time on Saturday with other teams losing. We threw away a fantastic chance to close the gap.
"We are running out of games. We have only picked up two points from nine at home against sides we were realistically looking to get seven points from.
"We have got work to do in away games to get points to give us a chance of making the play-offs."
City will definitely be without Kidderminster Harriers left-back Jonny Harkness after the two clubs mutually agreed not to extend his loan, which expired after the Hucknall match.
Worcester captain Chris Smith is also missing as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
Harkness' return to Aggborough could see Rapinder Gill moved to the left side of defence and Graham Ward, who has a bruised wrist, fill in on the right, paving the way for Adam Webster or Nick Colley to join David Burtoft in midfield.
