WORCESTER wing Katherine Merchant grabbed a brace of tries as England thrashed Italy 76-6 in the second round of the RBS Six Nations at the Stadio Tre Fontane in Rome.
Gary Street's side, who were captained by Merchant's Sixways team-mate Catherine Spencer, ran in 12 tries to stay on track to win a third Glam Slam title.
Charlotte Barras, Danielle Waterman (both two), Rochelle Clark, Maggie Alphonsi, Michaela Staniford, Jane Leonard and Jo McGilchrist also claimed touchdowns.
n Meanwhile, Worcester flanker Gemma Sharples played in the England A' side's 22-5 victory over Spain.
Also, Sharples' Worcester team-mate Lois Moulding was one of the replacements.
