RICHARD Dryden has deman-ded his players stand up and be counted against Nuneaton Borough tomorrow night.

City travel to Liberty Way for the second time in a month after the first meeting between the sides was abandoned due to floodlight failure.

But the St George's Lane boss is expecting much more from his players following the 1-0 defeat against Hucknall Town on Saturday.

"They've got a lot to show me now," Dryden said. "I've put a lot of faith in the lads and they've deserved it because they have clawed results out of nowhere through having a right go and wanting to play decent football - but we didn't see it against Hucknall.

"They are going to have to lift the performance level and the work-rate because I'm not accepting that."

City look set to once again be without skipper Chris Smith for the crucial Blue Square North match.

Dryden had hoped to include Smith at the weekend but the centre-half has failed to shake off the ankle injury sustained against Blyth.

The Worcester manager said: "Chris broke down again on Wednesday, which is disappointing, so he'll probably be out for about a week.

"He'll miss the Nuneaton game."
