WORCESTER City's hopes of closing on the Blue Square North play-off places suffered a setback when they lost 1-0 at home to Hucknall Town.
In a lack-lustre match for the 795 crowd, Hucknall's winner came in the 70th minute when Danny Bacon headed home Jordan Hall's cross.
City have made a habit of hitting back with late goals this season, but there was no way back this time, leaving manager Richard Dryden to ponder on a disappointing home defeat.
There was more disappointment for Kidderminster Harriers' fans as the Aggborough club slipped to a 1-0 Blue Square Premier defeat at second-in-the-table Torquay United.
The result will be a bitter pill for manager Mark Yates to swallow as Torquay's winner came in the third minute of time added on in the first-half.
Mark Ellis was on target for the Devon club when he rifled in the rebound from Roscoe D'Sanes initial shot.
Hereford United maintained their recent revival, however, with a comprehensive 4-1 League Two victory over Dagenham and Redbridge at Edgar Street.
New loan signing, Sherjill MacDonald from West Bromwich Albion, made an immediate impact with two of the goals.
The striker netted in the ninth and 67th minutes, with Gary Hooper (21) and a 45th minute penalty from Simon Johnson adding to the Daggers' misery.
