LUKE Jones could be set for an extended spell at Kidderminster Harriers after initially agreeing to join on a one-month loan deal.

The Shrewsbury Town defender headed for Aggbor-ough on transfer deadline day and made his debut in the goalless draw with Northwich Victoria last weekend.

The former Blackburn Rov-ers trainee is set to keep his place tomorrow as Mark Yates' men head for high-flying Torquay United.

Should the 20-year-old, Harriers and Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters be happy with how things develop over the next few weeks then Jones could be here for March as well.

"It's been agreed between all parties that if it is going well and we're happy then the deal will be extended and I'd be glad for that to happen," Jones said. "I want to play football and be involved in as many games as possible and a run of games would be excellent for me and hopefully it will benefit Kidderminster too."

Meanwhile, Harriers chairman Barry Norgrove revealed this week that the club are yet to receive the money from the FA Trophy final last May.

Norgrove said: "The problem is the percentage they're charging us for the commercial side of things at Wembley and the freebies given out.

"We don't feel we ought to be paying for these sort of things out of our takings. We know we've got the money but we cannot use it until the final settlement has been decided."

Kidderminster's Setanta Shield fifth round clash with Rushden and Diamonds, which was postponed on Tuesday night, has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 26 (7.45pm), at Aggborough.

The semi-final of the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup with Worcester City has been scheduled for Monday, March 17 (7.45pm), at St George's Lane.
