JOHN Trewick has called on Hereford United to remain consistent in their push for promotion from League Two.
The Bulls welcome old Conference rivals Dagenham and Redbridge to Edgar Street as they look to close the gap on the top three.
A victory against fellow promotion chasers Rotherham United last Saturday ended a run of three successive defe-ats, two in the league and the FA Cup loss to Cardiff.
Now Trewick wants the team to build on that result and get back to picking up a steady stream of points.
The first-team coach said: "Interestingly, Dagenham's away form is much better than their home form and we can't take anything for granted.
"They deserve to be in the Football League with the way they attacked the Conference last year. They are a decent side.
"It has to be the same preparation and the same requirements, and that is be consistent. We have done well this season. Before the Chester-field and Barnet games we had always bounced back with a result. We got that against Rotherham and, really, we need to compound that against Dagenham.
"We had lost two league games back-to-back for the first time this season and in a difficult match (against Rothe-rham) it was important that we got something from it. We played a very professional 90 minutes."
Hereford will be without leading marksman Theo Robinson who serves a one-match ban, while fellow striker Steve Guinan (calf) is still out.
Gary Hooper, on loan from Southend, is set to continue up front after netting the winner at Millmoor with Trevor Benjamin his likely partner.
However, Marcus Palmer scored five times in the 8-0 Herefordshire FA Senior Cup semi-final thrashing of Ledb-ury Town in mid-week and must have caught the management's eye.
Trewick said: "Marcus play-ed up front and scored five.
"I know it's a different level from League Two, but you have to do certain things correctly."
Dagenham are without striker Paul Benson (foot) and Chris Moore (suspended).
