MALVERN Town skipper Ja-mie Hyde could be about to play his last game for the British Gas Business Division One Midlands strugglers.
The midfielder has been the subject of approaches from league rivals Stourport Swifts and Premier Division outfit Bromsgrove Rovers.
The former Worcester City man is expected to feature in Saturday's basement battle at Langland Stadium against rock-bottom Berkhamsted Town (3pm).
"I have spoke to Neil Hunt (Stourport manager) and ask-ed him should Jamie decide to go there that he would be able to play for us on Saturday," Malvern boss Joe Rawle said.
"But to lose a player like Ja-mie is a massive blow for us."
Rawle will be hoping that the clash against the Lilywhites will help ease their own relegation fears with five points separating the two sides.
However, he will be without Nick Clayton (knee), Andy Widdowson (thigh), Joe Leighton (suspended) and Aaron Drake (holiday) for this important match.
"This is a massive game for us," Rawle said. "Last weekend we were very disappointing against Dunstable - we were 3-0 down after 15 minutes.
"This is a chance for us to put it right. They drew against Stourport in mid-week so we know it won't be easy.
"If we don't win it is not the end of the world because I believe that there is enough in this side to pick up points along the way to help us stay up."
