BROMSGROVE Rovers caretaker boss Duane Darby is hoping to put the disappointment of last weekend's draw at Mangotsfield United behind him when they welcome Corby Town to the Victoria Ground on Saturday (3pm).

Rovers were on the verge of scoring a last-gasp winner at Cossham Street only for the referee to blow the final whistle seconds too early.

Darby described that decision as a "joke" and the referee apologised to Bromsgrove chairman Tom Herbert after the match for his mistake which cost Rovers all three points.

But the Rovers chief is now hoping that his side can extend their unbeaten run to nine matches against the inconsistent Steelmen in the British Gas Busness Premier Division.

"Drawing away is okay but it just makes your home matches even more important," Darby said. "We have got several people out for tomorrow but it gives people who have been waiting patiently a chance to stake their claim."
